Rancho Gordo Bean Club
One day a Napa California native became disenchanted with the paltry selection of produce offered at the grocery store. Why bother with a few, bland options in a world with thousands of vibrant and tasty options? So, he set out on an agricultural pursuit. Soon he fell in love with legumes, a food native to America. He wondered why the full spectrum of this native food wasn’t more familiar.
That Napa native was Steve Sando, and his pursuit became Rancho Gordo.
I first heard of this company a few years back and was interested in their passion to bring unique, heirloom varieties alive. Do these beans taste different? Better than the shriveled-up beans at the grocery store? I wanted to find out. So, I put myself on the waiting list and…well… waited.
By my wait is finally over! After about 2 years on the wait list, I can officially say that I am a card-carrying member of the Rancho Gordo Bean Club.
Even if you can’t get in the club right away, you can still order some of their tasty items at Rancho Gordo
This is my first shipment, and I am so excited to share what came in the box!
